While preparing my Bottle Art Workshop I've had an opportunity to retain the work I'm making. It is so nice to be able to do this, and to step back and admire the results. Not for any other reason but because I've not had the chance to display my works personally. I know, why am I complaining? I'm not, I'm not. lol!

I've also had the chance to step back and smell the roses. I can appreciate the artistic talents of others so much more now that I'm able to be a part of a growing art community. Roses has got talented ladies from across the world visiting and I can only say how honored I feel to be able to grow and share with them. I think we all can learn so much from each other on so many different levels. For me, art is one facet of a multi-layered life, and really, I think, it's the whole of what we are that makes us unique. What we create, is an extension of that. Wow, it took me that long to figure it all out. I always was late for the party, but I always manage to show up!

These are some of the kinds of little mini tile artworks that are demonstrated in my Tile Class. I have so many wonderful techniques I want to share and these are just some of the little ones!

I found a gold-mine of great bottles at the flea market on Friday, and I couldn't wait to get into another bottle project. I found a woman who had three big boxes of antique bottles and I had to really take a deep breath and play it cool when I asked how much she wanted. Needless to say...I got a GREAT deal, bought about 18 of my favorite shapes and sizes! lol!

I just finished creating this Lapis Lazuli altered bottle. I've had this large jewelry piece in my collection for so long, and I hadn't had a chance to really give it the special attention it deserved, so instead of wearing it, I decided to use it as the center piece of the bottle. It is very sentimental to me because my mother gave me the charm some time ago, and I wanted to do something unique with it so I incorporated it with other recycled elements in my jewelry collection. The little handmade dangles are from several old necklaces I've had, and also I've added some altered art embellishment too.
