So I started out with a sketch of an owl. Fashioned after an Avon Bottle that I've had over the years. Don't you love it when inspiration is found right inside your own home? I always loved this owl bottle, and because he is sort of a creamy white color, I thought perhaps he might like some freshly painted feathers!
And, now for part one of my art journal inspiration, the owl sitting in the glow of the moon. "Prelude to Playtime" is what I am going to call this!
"Who, Who, Who wants to play?" But no one said a thing.
Quote from Sam and the Firefly, by P.D. Eastman.
Art journaling can never, ever, ever, EVER, be lost time. Exploring things that are rattling around inside your head is fun, and satisfying. So....get out your art journals and remember to be like Gus....PLAY. oh, and you should TRY to stay out of trouble. No paint stains on the carpet if you can avoid it.
