Everyone wonders about the soul mate question. A magic magnetic feeling overwhelms us when whereupon we meet a significant other who is just the the perfect "other" part of our missing half.

I love the question when asked, do I believe in soul mates? It's a wonderful question. There are so many ways to consider it! It just requires so much more than a simple one word reply. If that weren't so, I would hate to entertain the question at all. There is so much to consider. And in doing so, one must search ever so deeply inward for the meaning of the words, Soul Mates. So, here is my reply...in this altered artwork.

I see the two as seperate individuals, always seperate, always unique, and complete. Yet, betwix the two, I also see points of intimacy, and points of distance. In this way, the two always come together to bridge the distances between them, but never so completely that the line fades between the two identities. There is oneness in their togetherness, but a seperateness also. Like a mirror without which the need for reflection renders it's power useless. The two need each other to validate the existance of the other.
